The Disability Library
I love books, I love literature, and I love this blog, but it's only been recently that I've really been given the option to explore disabled literature, and I hate that. When I was a kid, all I wanted was to be able to read about characters like me, and now as an adult, all I want is to be able to read a book that takes us seriously.
And so, friends, Romans, countrymen, I present, a special disability and chronic illness booklist, compiled by myself and through the contributions of wonderful members from this site!
As always, if there are any at all that you want me to add, please just say. I'm always looking for more!
Edit 20/10/2023: You can now suggest books using the google form at the bottom!

Everything we know about The Bad Guys 2.
A post detailing everything about the sequel of The Bad Guys, from confirmed to unconfirmed information, leaks & more. We'll update the post whenever something new comes up, so stay tuned!
🟢Confirmed info:
On March 26th 2024, DreamWorks officially announced a sequel of The Bad Guys in development, coming to theaters August 1st 2025.
Synopsis: "The Bad Guys are struggling to find trust and acceptance in their newly minted lives as Good Guys, when they are pulled out of retirement and forced to do ‘one last job' by an all-female squad of criminals."
Just like the first film, whose story was loosely based on book 1 through 4 of The Bad Guys book series, it appears the sequel will be loosely based on the events of book 5 through 10 of the book series.
Returning cast & crew:
Pierre Perifel (director)
Damon Ross (producer)
JP Sans (co-director, was previously head of character animation)
Daniel Pemberton (composer)
Sam Rockwell - Mr. Wolf
Marc Maron - Mr. Snake
Craig Robinson - Mr. Shark
Akwafina - Ms. Tarantula
Anthony Ramos - Mr. Piranha
Zazie Beetz - Diane Foxington
Richard Ayoade - Professor Marmalade
Alex Borstein - Misty Luggins
Lilly Singh - Tiffany Fluffit
New (june 21, 2024): Gorge R. Gutierrez will make a cameo in The Bad Guys 2, it is unknown which character he's voicing.
Voice actors for the new characters have not yet been revealed. Director Pierre Perifel previously confirmed that Marmalade's real identity is indeed true to what it is in the books (no spoilers) although it is unknown if the reveal shall be made in the sequel, despite him strongly pointing towards it being the case.
New info (may 17, 2024) : In an interview with the Today Show Australia, while promoting his newest movie adaptation "Thelma the Unicorn" & talking about the final book of The Bad Guys series releasing this fall, author Aaron Blabey gave an update regarding The Bad Guys 2 currently in the works at Dreamworks.
NEW (November 1st): A first trailer for The Bad Guys has been listed with the runtime of 2 mins & 12 seconds, indicating that we'll be getting our first look at the sequel soon.
🟡Yet to be confirmed:
According to IMDb, the budget of The Bad Guys 2 is that of $80M. The budget of the first film was $70M. It also claims that the creator & author of The Bad Guys himself (Aaron Blabey) will write the script alongside Ethan Cohen. Aaron was previously the producer on the first film, in order to ensure the characters he created are well portrayed.
New (July 13th, 2024): According to Daniel RPK (an industry insider) actress Natasha Lyonne has been cast in The Bad Guys 2. She's probably voicing one of Diane's former friends, if this is true.
🟣Leaks:
On March 9th 2023, an insider known as "The V Scooper" on twitter revealed that a sequel of DreamWorks' The Bad Guys is in development. He even provided some extra plot details of the movie, which closely resembles that of the official synopsis. Although he commented that some plot points may change in the final version of the script, since that was still early on in production.
New (Sep 21): An accidental leak from the official website filmsrating.com revealed there will be a theatrical short of The Bad Guys related to the sequel, titled"The Bad Guys: Little Lies & Alibis".
NEW (Oct 19): Listings from Universal Switzerland seem to confirm that the title"Little Lies & Alibis" is that of the sequel itself, rather than the previously thought theatrical short related to the sequel, which does not exist.

Jennifer Lopez
At this point, Jay is very unpopular with the world at large. There’s many things come out about her that aren’t too good and also she could be attached to this whole Diddy drama with the fact that his house got rated the things with Rodney Jenkins the music prodigy who works on did he love album And the fact that at the time did he spilt some tea on the fact that the night he was in the club with Jennifer that they did have a gun and that she held it in his purse and he did shoot someone it was down to him even though somebody else got the jail sentence these fucking people up in power. Everything is a bribery. Everything is a game and you you win or you lose it so snakes and ladders, it’s why they’re also connected to Jeffrey Epstein as well because that was all a game of bribery they all cameras in the house they all up to the same debauchery rubbish but different degrees and it kind of reminds me of is the pornographic world and how porn actors go Darker and darker into the role of it so let’s say someone starts off doing a blow job scene, then they get told alright you’re ready for sex now we do it all different positions everything, and the woman’s like yeah sure I’ll do that I don’t mind at all and then carries on and something comes along. There is something that isn’t quite you but you get told that you’ll get paid a lot of money for doing this act now there are choices in this but they may not feel like they have those choices, especially if they’re working with the butcher kind of people which I’m sure they are, talk about it. She said about the time and she has tears in her eyes when someone pissed down her throat., and I’m sorry I have to say as somebody used to love porn in their 20s and late teenagers, looking back and I always thought it at the time anyway I hate the way they were the pornos and the films for example fat slut takes it up there or something like that, it’s never for men men just treated differently and always well-being. It seems., it’s just unfair that it’s just realistic.,,,, anyway going back to the scenario they get paid all this money for doing it so they do it and then another thing comes up and then they get numb to it and then they start taking drugs to cope with the pain all the time you’re gonna be destroying and you have to have the right mental constitution is gonna end badly.
She is definitely into this world Jennifer Lopez that that is she came into the scene with Diddy when he got her on this song that was originally somebody else’s surprise surprise I’m that was if you had my love, because before that she was more of an actress and if you’re a millennial you grew up with Jennifer and at the time of course he didn’t know all these things. I was a huge fan but we started to slowly realise that it was her vocals that she was using Natasha Ramos! Anyway, she got involved with Tommy Matola, who at this point was Mariah Carey‘s ex-husband and at the time he hated Mariah and he wanted to sabotage her career mainly because she’d got away from him he brought brought and had them but changed a little bit to her music. He’d ring up all the radio station saying don’t play any music off. The glitter soundtrack . Wendy Williams was one of the first people to Diddy and I think she was hinting at the fact that he was gay , see you guys people don’t mind if you’re gay. That is not the problem. The problem is that you are homophobic and closeted. That is the part that people do not like, and the other part people do not like is the fact that your predatory and that you grow up and that you do things to people , and let’s face it Jennifer Lopez is a glorified Kardashian if you wanna put it nicely , she’s an amazing business , a nice person she was told or told people not to look in the eyes and you know Wendy Williams dead she did it anyway and I love her. I miss Wendy somebody said she followed Jay to the bathroom and she didn’t wash her hands . but now she is connected to another ex who is her husband I think and that is Ben Affleck who has his own issues with addiction and alcoholism , and she still from Jennifer Gardner who was there for him , Yes, maybe so so she has a passion of being with people for my past and also while she was with Puff Daddy P. Diddy whatever you wanna call him he was with his wife Kim Porters, but Jennifer Lopez was his showgirl girlfriend his celebrity girlfriend his popstar .
So Jennifer isn’t that popular for many reasons such as that and the fact that she stole lyrics of Ashanti and her voice the fact I say she’s a glorified Kardashian she’s made a career of not very much and then there’s a few with Mariah Carey and I don’t know her, and I don’t take no shit. She’s not gonna pretend she’s not gonna be humble like Ashanti is because Mariah is not a libra like Ashanti she’s a powerful Aries woman and it’s just another case of. I don’t know her in my case me talking to you here Leo woman who cannot stand the fact she’s getting older and less relevant who is another Leo woman who does this? Why who else could it be? Madonna Who has a reputation of not being that madonna, who are the people who don’t Madonna Diana Ross Michael Jackson Cher . I think the time could come where she has looked into because of the whole Diddy situation correct me if I’m wrong but he’s just an example of why is not so popular but she has that healthy Leo ego I’ve not giving a shit .

A Room within A Room:
Abuelita’s Porch 2024
By Natasha Ramos
Materials: Multimedia perfomance installation featuring wood panels, hammock, chairs, woven baskets, bananas, broom, speakers and ceramic decoration.
Dimensions: 8'x 8'x 8'
This installation recreates my grandmother's porch in Lares, Puerto Rico, as a tribute to my cultural roots and the peaceful moments spent swinging in her hammock. The porch, often the heart of the house, reflects the warmth, simplicity, and joy of family life. With a hammock gently swayed by the wind (a fan,) scattered chairs, and symbols of Puerto Rican culture, the space invites viewers to connect with the tranquility I felt growing up, surrounded by the sounds of coqui frogs and the embrace of clean air. Through this work, I honor my abuelita, celebrating the tradition she embodied and the lasting influence she has had on my life.
The porch serves as a symbol of tradition and memory, preserving the everyday joys that shaped my identity. It reflects the love and culture my abuelita passed down, offering a reminder of how family roots us in life's most cherished moments.
This piece invites others to share in the feeling of home, love and connection.

This sounds like a good list of presenters so far!! 😁
I can't wait for Sunday! 😃 I hope the host for the Critics Choice Awards will be much better than the host for the Golden Globes this year... 👀
The GG's have just been missing when it comes to hosts for two years in a row imo. 🥴

Natasha Ramos!! I knew there was another voice of J-Lo! I mean we’ve heard that woman try to sing live, it’s not her vocals on the album. But let’s give credit where it’s due, Jennifer. This is like Milli Vanilli all over again. Except she’s has a decades long “singing” career. Have you ever heard her speak Spanish? Ben does better…

my other baby got hurt!
*boogsh*
DK to Seungcheol: Cho hehe saan ka?
Seungcheol: Hosp. Bakit? Nyare?
DK: Wala naman! Napatanong lang sige, bye!
"Huy, lagot ka. Nandito daw si Cho!" DK said to Natasha.
"Gagi, wala 'yun dito. 'Di naman ako bata, peds surg 'yun."
"Kasi naman eh, binuhat mo pa 'yun, alam mo naman na mabigat! Ayan tuloy!"
A doctor was approaching them and they sat in silent. "Good afternoon, Mrs... Natasha Choi. I'm Dr. Ramos, let's see. Ano po nangyari, Ma'am?"
"I was trying to help lang naman kaso nalaglag, napaupo ako at naitukod ko 'yung kamay ko then I heard a popping sound..." DK made a tsk sound.
"Let's check po, Ma'am." He tried moving Natasha's hand pero umaaray na ito. "Ah!"
"Okay po. I'll just call po our attending to check po. I'll be right back."
They waited in silence kasi alam ni Nat na papagalitan lang siya ulit ni DK. "Uy ah, 'wag mo muna sabihin kay Cho!"
"Oo na! Magugulat na lang siya pag-uwi!"
"Ako na mag-eexplain!"
"Ikaw talaga, teh!"
On the other hand, yung intern na nagcheck kay Natasha, found Dr. Wen. "Hi, Doc. May patient po, ortho. I suspect a mild fracture on the wrist po."
"Let's see... Choi?" Binasa ni Jun habang tinitignan ang findings. Pero, tumalikod naman si Seungcheol who was behind him, "Bakit?"
"Ay, hindi ikaw. Patient ko. Choi din surname."
"Baka kamag-anak ko pala 'yan ah."
"Sus. Tara, Doc Ramos."
Sinundan lang ng tingin ni Seungcheol si Jun, at naaninag niya si DK. "What—"
Naglakad ng mabilis si Seungcheol at inopen ang curtain, he saw his wife and his friend. "Nat?! Anong nangyari?!"
"You tell him. Sabi mo diba, tsk!" DK said.
"Okay, Daddy Cho. Kalmahan po muna natin. I've seen your xrays naman na. Doc Ramos, findings please."
"I suspect po a mild fracture on the wrist."
"And what do we do with it?"
"Plaster cast po for three weeks."
"Good." Jun informed them of what to do and what not to do and some other medicine that she needs to take.
"Andiyan naman si Seungcheol to take care of you. Iwas muna sa buhat ng mabigat, okay?"
"Thanks, Jun."
When Jun left, yumuko si Natasha. DK left the two of them alone.
"So?"
"Sorry po."
"Hay nako, ang isa ko pang baby. Uwi na kita. Papaalam lang ako." Seungcheol kissed Natasha's forehead and went to find DK and to sort out the discharge papers.
Nagpaalam na si DK and told Natasha that everything's gonna be handled by him muna.
On the way home, naalala ni Natasha si Nymeria. "Oh my gosh, makikita ako ni Nym!"
"And...?"
"Wala naman. We'll see. First time niya ata makakita ng may ganito sa kamay."
"Mhmm, explain na lang natin, okay? Nat, please please call me agad kapag may ganiyan. I'm glad nothing serious pero... atakihin ata ako sa kaba."
"Sorry, love. I don't want you to worry. I'm okay, promise!" She tried lifting her forearm pero masakit pa din, so Seungcheol made a tsk sound. "Kulit talaga ng panganay ko."
"Panganay?!"
"Ikaw, panganay ko!"
"Why! I'm your wife! Anong panganay!"
"Para kang anak ko eh. Tignan mo, may cast pa." Seungcheol laughed at the confused Natasha. "For short po, you're my other baby."
"Hala, may iba pa ba!"
"Si Nymeria!"
"Ah, gets! Hayup 'to. Pag ako nagpa-baby sa'yo, baka di ka na makapasok sa work."
"Try me then."
"Mamaya. Sa bahay!"
Pag-uwi, Natasha was welcomed by Nymeria. But Nymeria was shocked at the sight of her mom with a plaster cast. "Mama..."
Niyakap ni Nymeria ang legs ni Seungcheol at tinuro 'yung kamay ni Natasha. She even made this expression: 🫢
"Dada, is Mama hurt?"
Seungcheol knelt and kissed Nymeria, "Yes, my love. Mama's hurt. So, be careful with holding her hand ha? Masakit pa kasi eh."
Natasha knelt too and told her daughter that she's fine. Pero Nymeria cupped her Mama's face and kissed her. She then hugged her and said, "Mama..."
(Reference ng reaction ni Nymeria)
Bubuhatin na sana ni Natasha si Nym pero she looked at Seungcheol as if asking her to help her carry their daughter. Seungcheol smiled at the sight of his daughter tearing up dahil nasaktan ang mama niya.
"Alright, come here, Nym."
Binuhat ni Cho si Nymeria at they all stood up. His other hand made its way on Natasha's waist and pulled her closer. He kissed her on the forehead and whispered, "Naiyak pa si Nym. Tsk!"
"Mama, I'll be your doctor! I will take care of you!"
Natasha kissed her daughter and said, "Okay, my little doctor."
Natasha whispered back to Cho, "Sorry, next time na ko magpapa-baby. My little doctor will take care of me na daw."
Seungcheol smiled at his wife and his daughter. Never a dull moment in this household and he's loving it.

"Oh yeah, you really told him/her, didn't you?"
"I just want a nice, easy life. What's wrong with that?"

“Try focusing more on your life and a little less on mine!”
“Where I go and what I do is none of your business!”
“Be still. It’s going to sting, so be ready.”
“Are you threatening me?”
“Being strong doesn’t mean never asking for help or not admitting when you’re in pain.”
“You see everyone so clearly except yourself.”
